1 Thing I Think Is Great:
There's something so fun about playing around with fridge magnets and building weird phrases. It's even better in Gregor Hochmuth's latest project, Don't Play With Your News, where he took more than a million clips from NPR News broadcasts over the past six years and cut them into moveable pieces. The result is both addictive and technically impressive. I could spend hours making Laksmi Singh seamlessly say nonsense words. This game is part of a 3-part series by Hochmuth that "explores our relationship with the news & broadcast." Don't Play With Your News
1 Thing That Made Me Laugh:
Ryan Cruise is an illustrator and comedian. She's still in college, but her work feels very professional to me. Her latest project is a cartoon where she's looking for a new roommate. Each week a new character applies for the room and Ryan looks over their application. The setup is very simple, but it's beautifully painted and the jokes always make me laugh. Roommate Wanted
1 Interesting Thing:
Money is the most stressful part about being an adult. My least favorite part of performing is having to constantly negotiate and ask for more money. But because I've had to do it so much, I've gotten better at finding ways to make budgets work and have the process not be awkward. This article, by Eric Barker, hits on everything I've learned the hard way and also gives a bunch of new suggestions that I'm eager to try out. It's from Eric's amazing weekly blog, Barking Up The Wrong Tree, where he uses scientific research to explain how to do a new thing each week. How To Negotiate Salary (h/t Myq Kaplan)

1 Thing I Think Is Great:
I love traditions, I love people who make the world a better place, and I also love cookies. So Katie Fisher Day is a holiday that I am 100% onboard with. Every year on March 12, it's a celebration of kindness. Abbi Jacobson (from Broad City) designed their logo, Amy Poehler is a fan, and the wonderful Rachel Rosenthal helps run the whole thing. 1 Thing That Made Me Laugh:
Mike Ward's lists on McSweeney's are the rare humor pieces that I go back to again and again. It's been years since I first encountered his list of difficult email addresses, and it still makes me laugh every single time I see it. I find myself pulling this up on my phone and sharing it with friends more than just about any other written comedy bit. It's only five lines long, but I think it's just about perfect. 1 Interesting Thing:
The Washington Post has a big feature on Conan O'Brien this week. Conan is amazingly, consistently hilarious. Hearing Conan's thoughts about how the show works and why he focuses on the jokes he does was interesting, but my favorite article was about Conan's now-famous speech the night he hosted The Tonight Show for the last and final time.
